There is one aspect of energy efficiency we have previously not talked about, the relationship between the size of the dwelling and the amount of energy it uses. In this video Ian Hallowell discusses building and living in a tiny house on the campus of his high school. The house is well insulated and air sealed AND is much smaller than an average dwelling. Because of the combination of these two factors, it uses far less energy than most houses.
